Interest Zone (2023)

A hindering and disturbing study of the human squad in the light of cruelty, the zone of interest is a strong war drama, directed by Jonathan Glaser. The film focuses on the Nazi officer and his family world, but deeply disturbing life that lives near Auschwitz during their daily routines. With sincerely restrained narrative, minimalist dialogue and terribly distant atmosphere, this film forces the audience to confront the banality of evil. Cinematography, along with a unique sound design, creates an immerved and suggestive experience that lasts long after the credits.
