Crypt (2025) is a spine crushing horror thriller that deeply enters the world of cryptoid hunting, secrets, and psychological terror. Directed by Courtney Roy, the film follows the Chloe Pirrie, a defined cryptocurrency hunter who disappears mysterious when looking for a clumsy Suka – a creature that runs deep into the forest. At the same time, Kay (also plays a pirary), a woman with an amnesia, begins to discover shocking connections between Barb and Suka’s terrible legend.

The film flourishes into its disturbing atmosphere, slowly reducing layers of suspension and psychological tension. Chloe Pirrie produces a dual performance, reflects both fierce and obsessed barbecue and vulnerable but defined Key. Cinematography enhances the terrible tone of the film, uses dark, shadowy landscapes and Imeretian sound design to keep the audience on the edge.

Although some critics have pointed out that the pace is slower than traditional horror films, crypts are distinguished by their psychological depth, folklore, identity and survival of horrors. The unpredictable narrative of the film and a terrible visual make it a unique record in the horror genre that is attractive to slow combustion, atmospheric horror films like The Witch and it comes at night.
