“28 years later” is a future post-apocalyptic horror film that will be released on June 20, 2025. Director Danny Bowell and Alex Garland wrote, the film serves the first installment in a new trilogy, continuing the narrative, which was founded “28 days” (2002) and “28 weeks later” (2007).
The story develops 28 years after the start of the rage virus, which destroyed the global population. A group of survivors formed a quarantine community on the island of Lindycarn, on the British coast. The narrative centers on a young boy named Spike are depicted by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who begins medical care for his diseased mother on a dangerous journey beyond the island.
This quest leads him to a desolate and infected mainland, where he faces new threats and discovers the truths of the universe beyond his shelter.
