Trespass (2011) is an American Action-Thriller film directed by Joel Schumacher, which features an intense scenario full of suspended and psychological tension. The roles of Nicholas Cage and Nicole Kidman, the film is exploring the themes of greed, survival, and the collapse of public norms, when two characters, rich couples, appear to be a dangerous and life -threatening situation. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2011, before the DVD and Blu-ray became available.

Trespass’s conspiracy spins around Kyle and Sarah Miller, a wealthy couple depicted by Cage and Kidman, who are taken hostage by a group of armed criminals. What is initially direct robbery is soon thrown into the spirals as secrets, lies, and the surface of personal conflicts. As a couple struggles to protect themselves and their daughter, the true nature of criminals and their motives are slowly evident. Throughout the film, viewers are in the atmosphere of fear and paranoia, not knowing who will survive and how the situation is developing.

Trespass performances are one of the most powerful aspects of the film. Nicolas Cage brings the intensity of his signature on the role of Kyle Miller, a person who is desperate to protect his family, and burns his own moral dilemmas. Cage effectively conveys the character’s inner conflict and its transformation from a man focused on wealth that is deeply concerned about survival and family. Nicole Kidman delivers performance as Sarah Miller, reflects a woman whose insecurity and strengths collide with the activation of the crisis. The dynamics between the cage and the kiddman adds to the story of emotional depth as their characters’ relationship is in danger of intense strain
