Plot resume
On the edge of the wilderness peat bug, a quiet, blend village, Bethrik (Sally Harmsen) lives with her daughter and her old mother, continuing her life despite her past. But when a group of archaeologists in the swamp are deeply distinguished by the mysterious corpse, something wakes up – old, something hungry.
As strange, violent events blow up the city, Bethrik is convinced that he and his family are hunted by ancient evils associated with the dark past of his family. But is it just prejudice, or does anything really stop it from shadows? The deeper it digs, the more terrible the truth becomes.
